On November 7, 2022, the Consulate General of Toronto launched a telephone appointment booking service for issuing passport intended for people 75 years of age and older.
The “75 Plus” initiative met with considerable success. Therefore, after a Christmas break, the Consulate General announced in January 2023 that the telephone service for booking appointments for passport issuance will be dedicated to Italian nationals aged 70 and older.

What is it, who can call?
It is a dedicated telephone line for Italian nationals aged 70 and above, registered with AIRE in the jurisdiction of this Consulate and in need of an appointment for a new Italian passport.
What number to call and when?
(+1) 437-522-2402 every Monday from 11.00am to 12.00pm, with some exceptions indicated below.
A consular employee will perform the necessary checks and will give an appointment.
PLEASE, NOTE:
If Monday coincides with a Bank Holiday or an Italian Holiday, on the previous Monday we will assign appointments for the two following Fridays.
Service will be suspended from April 13 to April 17, 2026 (due to a mandatory technical intervention carried out by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs).
