Interesting visit, yesterday morning, of Consul General Luca Zelioli together with the Hon. David Piccini, Minister of Labour of Ontario, to the shop and production site of Dacasto, in Toronto, discovering the secrets of making artisanal panettoni.
Dacasto is a small sized, family run company based near Alba, in Piedmont, Italy. With an investment of around 1 million dollars, they have opened in November their first branch in Ontario, creating new jobs for 15 persons. Toronto can now enjoy a taste of a truly Italian patisserie, for now based on artisanal panettoni, but soon to include many other specialties.
