On March 21, Consul General Zelioli visited the Italian Community in Hamilton, with the assistance of Mrs. Susanna Fortino-Bozzo, Italian Honorary Vice Consul in Hamilton.
During his visit, Consul General Zelioli met the Mayor of Hamilton, Andrea Horwath, to discuss how to improve cooperation in the economic and cultural fields. He also met with Angelo Di Ianni, Director of the Hamilton Dante Centre, which organises Italian language courses and other cultural activities.
Together with the President and Members of COMITES (Committe of Italians Abroad) Toronto, the CG participated in an interactive meeting with many representatives of the local Italian and Italian-Canadian community (one of the largest in Ontario).
During the metting, he presented the work of the Consulate General, its challenges but also some of the present and future improvements to consular services.
Thanks also to L.I.U.N.A. for hosting this wonderful evening and to the Sons and Daughters of Italy in Hamilton for their intense support and so many initiatives.
