The “Festa delle Penne Nere”, organised yesterday by the Associazione Nazionale Alpini – Gruppo Autonomo di Vaughan, celebrated the traditional courage, determination and dedication of the Alpini (Italian mountain troops).
Those very same principles are now supporting a noble cause, raising funds to help elder people with dementia in Ontario.
The Consul General Luca Zelioli joined the Hon. Michael Tibollo, the Hon. Francesco Sorbara, Sen. Francesca La Marca and the Mayor of Vaughan, Stephen Del Duca, in supporting the effort of the “Penne Nere”.
