Following the approval by the Italian Council of Ministers, on March 28, 2025, of Decree Law no. 36/2025 regarding citizenship by descent, in compliance with specific instructions of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it is necessary to suspend the calendar of appointments for citizenship by descent.

Decree Law no. 36/2025 is now available in the Official Gazette (Italian only): Gazzetta Ufficiale
Therefore, as of March 28, the calendar is no longer be available on the Prenot@mi web portal, until further notice.
Appointments already booked will also be suspended.
Those who have booked an appointment starting from April 2 will receive a communication of suspension from the Consulate, to the email address used to register on the Prenot@mi portal. If you have already booked an appointment for Citizenship by descent, make sure to check your mailbox, including the SPAM folder.
