The stability of the political system, labor market conditions, cost of factors of production make Canada a country of interest for Italian companies oriented to increase their share of exports or intent on internationalizing their manufacturing presence.
Negotiations between the European Union and Canada for the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) were finalized on September 26, 2014. CETA, which provisionally entered into force in 2017, constitutes one of the most ambitious economic and trade agreements in the world.
