The Consulate General is planning the following initiatives in 2026:
1) A reception on the occasion of Republic Day (2 June) to be held at the prestigious Liberty Grand venue (Exhibition Place, Toronto).
2) Economic promotion events, such as Italian Design Day (March), Italian Made Day / Made in Italy Day (April), and the Week of Italian Cuisine in the World (November); as well as linguistic and cultural promotion events, such as the Italian language competition for students in provincial schools (May).
3) Modernization works (in particular, the planting of new trees in the Consular Park) and extraordinary maintenance of the Consular complex located at 136 Beverley Street, Toronto.
In view of the average costs associated with organizing the Reception, organizing events, acquiring new systems and structural elements for the Consulate, and carrying out building maintenance, pursuant to current Italian legislation the Consulate may avail itself of sponsorships from public or private entities, provided they meet the required criteria. Such entities may, through a financial contribution or the provision of works, services, or goods, promote their image, brand, or products. A financial contribution starting from CAD 1,000 will grant the status of Sponsor; a contribution of at least CAD 5,000 will grant the status of Main Sponsor; a contribution of at least CAD 10,000 will grant the status of Main Partner and may cover multiple events or initiatives. For sponsors, specific measures to enhance the visibility of the respective logo/brand/products will be agreed upon.
Detailed information on sponsorship arrangements will be made available to entities that, from 20 January 2026 onwards, send an expression of interest (WITH NO OBLIGATION) by email, with the subject line “SPONSORSHIP”, to the following email address:
The expression of interest must identify the proposing entity, provide contact details, and indicate the wished type of sponsorship (Sponsor, Main Sponsor, Main Partner), specifying which of the options listed under points 1) to 3) the entity is willing to support. For financial sponsorships of at least CAD 10,000, it will be possible to contribute to several events/initiatives.
Those having expressed an interest will be contacted by the Consulate; where the conditions are met, this will be followed by the execution of a specific contract, which will enter into force through an exchange by email bearing the signature of the Consulate’s representative and the legal representative of the Sponsor.
Please note that this notice does not constitute any commitment on the part of the Consulate, which reserves the right to contact or not contact the entities that have expressed an interest.
