Dear fellow Italians,
I have just taken up my duties as Consul General in Toronto and would like to extend a warm greeting to all my fellow Italians in the constituency. I intend to carry out with enthusiasm and full commitment the important task that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation has entrusted to me.
Toronto is, in fact, the consular constituency with the second highest number of Italians resident in North America. It is a very large community, which I know is well integrated and appreciated, and which has often reached prominent positions in Canada’s economic, social, and political life, while maintaining strong ties with Italy.
It will be my specific concern and commitment to cultivate relationships with the Italian community in this consular jurisdiction, with its representative bodies, which we are preparing to renew by the end of the year 2026, with the world of associations, and with the many friends of Italy who directly or indirectly contribute to promoting the country in all its aspects, from culture to art, from tourism to sport, from entrepreneurship to scientific and technological research.
Obviously, the primary objective of my mandate will be consular services, with standards of efficiency, speed, and transparency that meet your expectations.
In this regard, I am personally at your disposal and count on your suggestions, hoping to meet many of you personally in the coming months.
