The Italian Trade Commission (ITC) is seeking applicants for a<\/strong>
TEMPORARY ASSISTANT POSITION for its Machines Italia project at the TORONTO OFFICE<\/strong>
The role will be to support ITC in enhancing the activity of promoting and assisting Italian companies<\/strong>
within the Canadian marketplace through various activities aimed at promoting Made i n Italy products<\/strong>
in Canada with specific reference to the Machines Italia Project.<\/strong>
Duties & Responsibilities<\/strong>
As part of the temporary contract, the activities and responsibilities for the position, under the general<\/strong>
direction of ITC, shall be the following:<\/strong>
\u25cf assist with all activities related to the promotion of Made i n Italy i ndustrial machinery and<\/strong>
technology solutions in Canada, including:<\/strong>
o general office and administrative work i nvolved i n the organization of promotional<\/strong>
activities and events;<\/strong>
o assistance with requests from Italian companies;<\/strong>
o preparation of documents and contracts;<\/strong>
o communication with third parties and involved agencies;<\/strong>
o update of the digital and marketing content and materials;<\/strong>
\u25cf assist with market research, project analysis and systematic monitoring reports as requested<\/strong>
by the Head Office;<\/strong>
\u25cf organization of business trips for delegates of Italian companies to Canada, as well as of<\/strong>
Canadian businesses to Italy;<\/strong>
\u25cf assist with other activities and projects related to the promotion of Made in Italy as required;<\/strong>
\u25cf traveling domestically and internationally, if required.<\/strong>
Requirements<\/strong>
Education:<\/strong>
\u25cf Degree from a recognized University, preferably in a relevant discipline.<\/strong>
Language:<\/strong>
\u25cf Proficiency in English and Italian (reading, writing and speaking).<\/strong>
Experience:<\/strong>
\u25cf A minimum of two years\u2019 experience in a similar role \u2013 in the private or public sector .<\/strong>
Additional skills and requirements:<\/strong>
\u25cf Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) in English<\/strong>
and Italian;<\/strong>
\u25cf Meticulous work ethic with attention to detail;<\/strong>
\u25cf Proficient in MS Office (particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Internet, Email;<\/strong>
\u25cf Professional appearance and demeanor.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Conditions of Employment<\/strong>
\u25cf Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada, i.e. be a Canadian citizen or have<\/strong>
Permanent Residency status i n Canada. The Italian Trade Commission will not sponsor any<\/strong>
employees directly or indirectly;<\/strong>
Salary and Compensation<\/strong>
Salary and compensation will be commensurate with experience.<\/strong>
The position is temporary full-time: 35 hours\/week starting January 1, 2021 until June 30, 2021<\/strong>
Disclaimer: the temporary contract of the successful applicant will only be finalized after a 90 day<\/strong>
probationary period, with the approval of headquarters in Rome and, in case, can be renewed only for<\/strong>
an additional year upon receipt of a certificate of non-impediment (Nulla Osta) issued by the Italian<\/strong>
authorities.<\/strong>
