Il 10 marzo<\/strong> presso lo Spadina Theatre <\/strong>(24 Spadina Road), a partire dalle 17.30, nell’ambito delle iniziative per l’Italian Design Day 2023<\/strong>, avr\u00e0 luogo un incontro (conversazione e tavola rotonda) con panelist e relatori italiani e canadesi. <\/p>\n

Si discuter\u00e0 di come il Design stia affrontando nuove sfide in un mondo in rapido cambiamento, nel quale i prodotti ecosostenibili devono essere concepiti per soddisfare una domanda crescente.\u00a0<\/p>\n

La sostenibilit\u00e0 \u00e8 un concetto portante nell’ambito del design in tutto il mondo e si riferisce alla necessit\u00e0 di rispondere ai bisogni del presente, conservando le risorse per il futuro, pur continuando a perseguire la bellezza e l’elevata qualit\u00e0 della fattura.\u00a0<\/p>\n

ITALIAN DESIGN DAY 2023<\/strong> | Talk and Panel Discussion<\/p>\n

Design for the New Decade: Project Flexibility Between Architecture, Industrial Design, Branding, and Graphic Design<\/p>\n

A talk and roundtable discussion on the latest developments in Italian and Canadian design to rethink manufacturing and product design for a changing world will be presented on the occasion of the 2023 edition of Italian Design Day (IDD). The talk will explore how design is responding to the new challenges of a rapidly changing world where environmentally friendly industrial products are conceived to satisfy growing demand. Sustainability in design is a concept that remains at the core of product design worldwide. It refers to meeting the needs of the present while still conserving resources for future use, nevertheless pursuing beauty and craftsmanship.<\/p>\n

The keynote speaker will be Italian designer Mario Trimarchi (Mario Trimarchi Design), who will then join panelists Luigi Ferrara (George Brown College), Helen Kerr (KerrSmith Design), Lee Fletcher (Teknion) and via remote, Maria Porro (Salone del Mobile), in a panel discussion moderated by Veronica Manson (Director, Istituto Italiano di Cultura Toronto) and Marco Saladini (Trade Commissioner, ICE – Italian Trade Agency).<\/p>\n

Opening remarks by the Consul General of Italy, Luca Zelioli. Closing remarks by the Director of the Italian Chamber of Commerce of Ontario.\u00a0<\/p>\n

A networking event with light refreshments will follow.<\/p>\n

Presented by the Consulate General of Italy in Toronto, ICE – Italian Trade Agency and the Istituto Italiano di Cultura Toronto. In collaboration with ICCO – Italian Chamber of Commerce of Ontario and the George Brown College School of Design.<\/p>\n
