Creation of a new German school in Toronto

Creation of a new German school in Toronto
The German Consulate with the collaboration of German companies and individuals has acquired land in the area of Keele and 401 where a new German school will be built by the beginning of 2012 school year. It will offer the standard Ontario curriculum and specific programs focused on German language culture.

The new school will host the 60 students already enrolled in the existent German and it is expected to double in number over the next two years.

This initiative from the German part may act as a catalyst for the Italian community to better appreciate and develop the similar Italian school “Leonardo da Vinci Academy” located at 100 Allenhurst, Toronto, N9A 4KH. This also taking into account that the number and the economic strength of the Italian community in Ontario is certainly superior to the German ones.
